Faces of Autism
A New Chapter in the Public Awareness Narrative
We believe that Autism is not just a disability – it is also a difference. This campaign ultimately seeks to promote empathy and understanding by celebrating the unique differences that make us special to each other and to society. Furthermore, we acknowledge that the autism community is made up not only of those on the spectrum, but also their families, friends, educators, therapists, and hosts of other caring allies.
These collected narratives aim to shed light on the connective tissue that exists within larger society and, in particular, between the autism community and the general public. The end result, we hope, will consist of a shift in perspective and practice leading toward more inclusive everyday experiences for all.
